The food served in Annalakshmi are prepared with the care and love by homemakers - mothers, grandparents, sisters and brothers who are mostly voluntary staffs. This filial connection is what makes the concept of Annalakshmi, an unique one.
You cannot put a price on the food prepared by a mother or a wife, and this is why at Annalakshmi you - eat as you like and pay as you feel.

There was a big full page advertised in the newspapers about this restaurant serving all types of different mushrooms and fungus. As we all love eating mushrooms and the convenience of getting to taste so many types without having to cook them yourself got us to drive all the way to Puchong where this restaurant is located. We were not disappointed as all the dishes served were indeed tasty especially the Taiwan Style Monkey Mushrooms which is cooked with red yeast rice/red koji and the boss claimed that it can help to lower cholesterol.
Tomyam Seafood Bihun -RM 6

Stir fried vegetables with ginger - RM 12.90
nothing special...
Deluxe Five Mushrooms - RM 15.90
so-so
Bean Curd - RM 18.90

Taiwan Style Monkey Mushrooms - RM 15.90

Deep Fried Veggie Trotters - RM 16.80

Nowadays have been so hot and hazy and the best way to get away from the heat and poor air quality is to go roam around in a shopping mall. Not only that you can go watch a movie, window shop or best of all to go for good food hunting as there are so many new food outlets opened with new concept and latest styles of cooking. However, Jonker Street is still a little kiam-siap with the ingredients. We found a better place in Mid-Valley, which is at the Food Court over at Gardens, better "liao" for around the same price.

A friend has recommended that the wanton mee is a must try in this restaurant and after having it, I do agree that it is indeed very good. I do not recommend the rest of the hawker style food as they are just very ordinary. However, I still recommend that you go for the rest of the menu dishes to go with rice.
Buah petai in vegetarian sambal belacan
Great!
Wanton mee with soup
two thumbs up!
Lor mee
so-so, something was missing....
Seaweed fried rice
nice, but nothing attractive about this dish
Indian style rojak
not bad =) but leaves a guilty feeling due to the peanut sauce
Mixed fruit rojak
typical fruit rojak, prefer this one due to lesser caloric value
