It has been awhile since I last visited Kechara Oasis. Although it is conveniently located with ample parking available, we were never attracted to make a forth visit as we did not enjoy the food and service during our last visit. However, since I was meeting a fellow vegetarian friend at Jaya One, I decided to give it another try as I was very tempted to try their round Tibetan dumplings that I read on the internet. I am pleased to inform that the food and service has improved tremendously! Kudos to the management for stepping up to make the dining experience a very pleasurable and memorable one. I will definitely be back for more.
Complimentary Lemongrass and Ginger tea.
Complimentary Appetizer Cucumber and Carrot Sticks dipped in a very fragrant wasabi/mustard based sauce
Amdo Yak Beef The sauce goes extremely well with the delicious bun. It's very appetizing as it is a little spicy and chewy.
The paus that look like little dome temples. :) oh, did I mention that these taste very heavenly? They were so soft and fresh, just like cotton candy!
Great combination! We did not even ask for rice as the pau filled our tummy to the max.
Momo (round dumplings) and a variety of vegetables and mushrooms soaked in a very tasty broth
I love the momo. There is a distinctive and pleasant taste with every bite. It would be a perfect Momo if the stuffings were a little more juicy.
Cozy and elegant deco sets the mood for perfect fine dining.

Operating Hours: Kechara Oasis is open for business daily, Monday to Sunday, Lunch: 11:30am – 3.00pm, Dinner: 6:00pm - 10:00pm
You can be right at the door-step of this restaurant if you park your car at Basement 1 (B1). They have different set menu for everyday of the week except for Sunday. We ordered the Saturday Set Menu C which was priced at RM168.00 and is inclusive of a pot of Chinese tea and soup of the day. The Butter Mushrooms was really crispy and tasty so we ordered a second plate but when we got the bill we were shocked to find that it was really very expensive at RM48.00 for that few pieces of abalone mushrooms. The other dishes were just very ordinary and the deep fried fish was quite cold when it was served to us.

Sadly to say, the food during our 2nd visit was not as good as our first visit. Wonder what happened there..... =(
Name: Kechara Oasis Location: D19, Block D, Jaya One, 72A, Jalan University, 46200, Petaling Jaya. Tel: 6-03-7968 1818 Operation hours: 11am to 10pm Notes: This restaurant is a little difficult to locate as the entrance is actually in the carpark itself. Best to get to block D of Jaya One, then head towards the B1 level carpark. We've informed the manager about the difficulty in finding the place and she would be putting up more signs to help guide people towards the right direction. =)
Taste = *** Atmosphere = **** Service = **** Price = $$$$ Location = not very convenient for tourists How to get there = taxi / bus (any bus that goes along Jalan University) / LRT to Asia Jaya and ask if the feeder bus going to Jaya One.
Very nice setting. The standard of the food dropped during our second visit. =( According to the exceptionally friendly manager, this restaurant is affiliated with Kechara House. They received the inspiration from a Tibetan Lhama. Kechara serves Chinese, Tibetan, Vietnamese and Western food.
