Delicious Vegetarian Cheddar Pie from Coffee Bean
Had to meet someone at Coffee Bean, and I found this vegetarian pie on the shelf and enquired from the staff if it is suitable for vegetarians. He informed that if I do not mind the garlic then it is perfectly alright. I ordered one to try out first and found it to be really delicious and as for the filling, you can find broccoli, cauliflower, mushrooms, mixed vegetables of green peas, carrots and sweet corn. I found it very satisfying and bought another two more to take away for next morning's breakfast. The pie was as good and delicious after being heated up in the oven the next morning.

RM 6.80 for this delicious pie

A relaxing treat at Beanstro (Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf) in Singapore's Marina Sands
It is again time for us to perform our yearly shopping ritual at neighboring Singapore. Having heard so much about Marina Sands, we decided to drop by to visit the new iconic trio of Singapore. It was only semi-ready for business, with many shops and attractions still closed for renovation, guess it's not a good time to visit it just yet.

Looks like a cruise ship got itself roofed atop the trio isn't it.

We were looking for a place to rest our weary feet, having overused them at Orchard Rd, Vivocity, Velocity, and we were delighted when we came across my favorite cafe: the Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf. I am not exactly sure why the management had renamed it to Beanstro, perhaps this branch is not your regular coffee bean outlet as the setting is such that some of the seatings are arranged to be next to the Venetian River. The coffee is of very good value as patrons get to enjoy the relaxing ambiance created by the lazy river with occasional gondolas rowing by.

Ice Lemon Tea - $ 4.90

Cafe Hazelnut - $ 5.90

Ultimate Mocha Ice Blended - $ 7.30

Breakfast all day @ Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf
Ever get the urge to have breakfast meals for lunch, tea, dinner or supper? I know I do, and very often too, which is why I am a regular patron at coffee bean, not just for their fantastic ultimate ice blended and skinny cafe latte, but also for their delicious pasta and 'food for thought' breakfast-all-day set. After these cafes sprung out like mushrooms after the rain in the past decade, I find myself attracted and probably addicted to the strong aroma of brewed Arabica coffee beans, just like how everyone reacts to the 'free smells' at the Famous Amos stalls.

The signature ambiance at all coffee bean. Pictured is the coffee bean and tea leaf at Curve, Mutiara Damansara.

Food for thought (RM11.50+)
Half boiled eggs served with 4 pieces of crispy toast with a healthy salad of cherry tomatoes, lettuce, cranberries and almond flakes.
Each Food for thought set comes with a cup of tea or coffee, with free refills before 11am.

Tomato herb pasta (RM14.90+)
Love the pasta here at coffee bean! The bread served on the side greatly compliments this dish and goes especially well with the generous amount of tomato herb sauce.

Scones from Coffee Bean
I have always loved berries and when I was in Melbourne I never failed to pick blueberries, strawberries and raspberries from farms when they are in season so that I do not miss out and know that the berries are truly fresh from the plant. I just pick straight from the shrubs and pop the juicy and sweet berries straight to my mouth until my stomach is full and only then I work to fill the basket that was provided to me.

Berries do go well with scones and I am very glad to find that Coffee bean actually serves Cranberry scones. The scones are very good especially when it is being served warm. However, the scones served are nowhere as good as the ones that I had in Pie in the Sky, where the scones are as fluffy and airy as cotton candy! However, it is a great snack to get from Coffee Bean together with a piping hot cup of cafe latte. Ah, writing this post makes my day.

This is how the scone crumbles.
