The food served in Annalakshmi are prepared with the care and love by homemakers - mothers, grandparents, sisters and brothers who are mostly voluntary staffs. This filial connection is what makes the concept of Annalakshmi, an unique one.
You cannot put a price on the food prepared by a mother or a wife, and this is why at Annalakshmi you - eat as you like and pay as you feel.

This Indian Vegetarian restaurant has got an award for cleanliness. It is really very clean and you can even observe all the activities in the kitchen through the glass panel dividing the dining area. The staffs are also friendly and courteous. However, I find the menu a bit pricey like the Hakka rice which was ordered, except for a few pieces of capsicum and some dried chillis, you cannot find any other ingredients with the fluffy rice. It comes with a small dish of onions in yoghurt. The vegetarian samosa with coconut chutney is hot and tasty and priced at RM4 for 3 pieces.

Inflight vegetarian meal - Indian
This Indian vegetarian meal on board has a small plate of dhall beans. I find the beans are not well cooked and are still quite hard to the bite. Then there is a chinese pau to go with margarine. The main dish consists of vegetarian curry chicken, some vegetables and rice. Finally Chinese tea was offered to help wash down the food. I find the main dish was tasty.

This vegetarian restaurant is situated right in the heart of Melbourne, on Swanton Street and I believe is run by hare krishna's volunteers . Mostly office workers and students patronise this restaurant. Price is $6.50 which include rice set, dessert and drinks but they offer discounted meals for students, the elderly and other concession card holders. Extra helping and top up of food and drinks are available at no extra costs.

This is not a vegetarian restaurant. Vegetarian cha kwe teow, roti canai with vegetarian dhall can be prepared upon special request. The restaurant claim to have the best teh tarik but I find it is not as good as the one found in Nyonya Colors
