Vegetarian stall in Taman Megah Food Court
So happy to note that they have a vegetarian store in the Taman Megah Food Court. However, after browsing around the whole food court, I found that I do have another choice at the Lui Char stall. So I opted for the Lui Char as the food at this stall looks cold and I for one prefers to have my food at least warm. Maybe can try to visit them at around lunch time at noon when the food is just being prepared and will be nice and hot.

Ole Ole Bali - Solaris
Solaris, the new hang out place of many youngsters, seniors, malaysians and also foreigners. Broke my personal record of being at Solaris 3 times for one weekend alone, 1st time for a company event, 2nd with two of my best friends and my 3rd time for an outing with my family.
Solaris is great as parking is cheap (only RM1 per entry on all Friday, Saturday and Sunday! How great is that!)

Visited the famous Ole-ole Bali and was quite disappointed that they did not have that many vegetarian friendly dishes, so I settled for the only thing available. It was actually very tasty and very value for money!
RM13 (including a small bowl of salad and also a generous side of french fries)
The grilled vegetables was not too oily and the bread was very well done. Not too soft, not too hard, the bread came warm too!

Side note: Love the pandan water that was served -FOC (do opt for the warm water as the hot water brings out the most of the pandan leaf)

Wow, highly recommended Hakka Lui Char
Wow, this is good. We were looking around for food and driving around P.J. and got caught in a massive traffic jam and realized that it is the pasar malam night for Taman Megah and had no choice and tried to find a way out by going through the car park of the Taman Megah Food Court. There was an available parking lot so we just conveniently got our car in and thought that might as well we check out the Food Court and also after dinner could walk around the pasar malam to help in digestion. We found this stall recommended by ASTRO ''ONE DAY 5 MEALS'' serving Hakka Lui Char. We enquired if the soup was ok for us vegetarians and was told that it is just plain water to be mixed with the Lui Char paste. The price is RM5 for Small and RM5.50 for Big. So we ordered a big bowl first to try out. Wow, the taste was good and the serving of vegetables and other condiments were really generous. We could not resist but had to order another bowl. Good job ASTRO for the recommendation!

Kuan Yin - Section 17, Petaling Jaya
After a long absence at Kuan Yin, due to their overpricing, we decided to give it another try. The food was tasty but the bill was still on the pricey side, though they do try to make up with the portion.

Stir Fried Spinach Soup - RM 10
Our favourite veggie dish
Claypot Bean Curd - RM 15
Not recommended. Better to go back to the popular "4 hei tofu'"
Honey Flavor Roast Ribs - RM 12
Deep Fried dish is not really my liking, and this plate of overly deep fried
Roast Ribs didn't get me craving for more - this dish used to be better though.
Complimentary soup of the day
Tasty, one can never go wrong with a bowl of hot soup to start the meal
Honey Lime Plum - RM 4
This was warm and thick, highly recommended!

Go Green - Recycle - DIY Lovely Toilet Roll Holder
There are just too many bags and packages that we get from the shops and after we carry them home, they are just being discarded without the slightest guilt or a second thought. I am sure many of us must have kept back quite a few of those paper bags which are just too nice to be thrown away. Yes, we will use them to carry some items or use them to pass items to our friends and after a few uses when the bag has worn out, do not throw them out. I normally will save the lovely strings from the bags and wait for opportunities to see where I can find a use for them later.
So happen, I just had a piece of leftover material which I thought is just the right size for a toilet holder for my bathroom and the idea of using the strings to tack the sides pop into my mind. No sewing machine is needed. I just used blanket stitches to sew the string onto the sides to prevent them from loosening away and when it is done just join the ends together to make into a pocket for the toilet roll. Make some zig-zag designs on the top or whatever other designs you can think of and finally add in two loops to hang onto the towel rack.
Voila, a lovely toilet roll holder that has cost nothing and an hour of my time which has been put to good use.
