Yet another Sumptuous and satisfying meal at Delicious, Bangsar
Here comes another post that describes yet another sumptuous and satisfying meal at Delicious, Bangsar Village II. By far, this is one of the eateries that serves tasty and good value food. Service is great as usual, but it's a good idea to book ahead if you want to secure a table at this very busy restaurant.

Vegetarian Gado-gado
This dish would be very boring without a generous helping of a delicious satay sauce. Thankfully, delicious gave us more than enough sauce to thoroughly enjoy this very famous Malaysian dish.

Spicy Spaghetti with Pine Nuts
This is my favorite pasta dish at delicious. I'm glad that the chef opted to use olive oil instead of a cream-based sauce, as the cream would definitely have overpowered the pine nuts and zucchini. Remember to squeeze the cut lemon all over this dish if you do order it, it works magic with the olive oil!

Mushroom Spaghetti with Mascarpone cheese
I tried this dish during my previous visit and found it to be too rich and creamy for my liking, however, my friend loved every single bite. Beauty is indeed in the eye of the beholder!

Trio of dips with Lebanese bread
Ah, another of my favorite dish at Delicious, however, a word of caution, don't bother to try this dish at Delicious, Mid-Valley as the bread always came burnt. The chef at Delicious, Bangsar does it way better, as the bread is always served warm and cotton soft.

Cafe WIP, Bangsar Shopping Center
Yet another gathering to attend to and this time was informed that the restaurant to meet is this place called WIP, short form for "Work In Progress" in Bangsar Shopping Centre. I had not heard about this place before and was a bit skeptical as to whether the food will be good and also if it would be a good venue for a gathering. Well, there was no complain about the food and was in fact quite happy with the char kuey tiaw which I ordered as I had wanted it to be vegetarian and requested that any meat to be replaced by tofu. I find the chef is quite versatile as he not only just omitted the meat to be replaced by tofu as some other non-veg restaurants that I have experienced with will just do, he has added broccoli and a few other types of veggies. However, we have to almost shout at each other to be heard to share our stories.

Loving how the cakes melt in my mouth at Alexis - Bangsar
My caloric consumption was way over my pre-set quota to make way for a birthday celebration. After having a sumptuous lunch at MG Cafe, we decided to head over to Alexis to indulge in its famous melt-in-the-mouth cakes. Indeed we were not disappointed.

Blueberry Cheesecake - RM15
I'm a big fan of cheesecakes, and this blueberry cheesecake was definitely a very good attempt.
One thing I like about this cake is that it isn't very sweet, unlike most cheesecakes in Malaysia's sweet-toothed market, although one of my friends did comment that he preferred the cheesecakes from Secret Recipe better.

Pavlova - RM 15
I personally do not like meringue cakes so I can't comment on this.
Nevertheless, the fresh blueberries served on this cake makes me miss
Aussie blueberries more than ever.

Tiramisu - RM15
a very good attempt by Alexis but definitely no where near
the standard I now have for Tiramisu thanks to my Italian cousin
Vivian who makes the BEST tiramisu I've ever tasted.
Mostly because I do not like spongy cakes (Alexis' tiramisu is spongy).
My cousin's tiramisu is mostly typically dripping wet with upscale quality
Italian coffee and liquor which adds a intense kick toward the Tiramisu texture.
Lemon Tea (hot)

Cafe Latte - RM10
Very happy with this as it closely matches
the standards of most cafes in Australia.
