Meal in the Air - Cathay pacific - New York bound
In the upcoming posts, I'll be sharing with you the vegetarian food and also fun I had in New York and Chicago :)

But first, I'll take you through the vegetarian meals served on board Cathay Pacific from KL to HK and HK to JFK.

KL-HK (Oriental Meal)
Yummy! I love the "soy chicken" and the veggies on the side, not salty, not oily. A very healthy meal indeed!

Fruit platter - Perfect when you're only up for a light meal during a very long flight!

HK-JFK (New York) (Oriental Meal)
Oh i love this set! The gravy for the mushrooms went perfectly well with the rice. The mantous (the air stewardess gave me 2!) was also very well "steamed" as they were not "tough" unlike most store-bought/frozen mantous
Hehe, they even have Tau Fu Far!

I'd go for the oriental meal on Cathay Pacific anytime!

Blueberries in abundance

Finally, the time has come for me to stuff my mouth full with sweet and juicy blueberries. As blueberries normally cost a bomb to enjoy fresh (125g for $5), I would chose to go for the frozen ones (1kg at $5.50). However, frozen ones are definitely no match when compared to the fresh ones.

Having heard a lot about blueberry picking from my uncle Silvio for years, I finally got the chance to go for the Blueberry picking this year. Located near Geelong in Melbourne, Australia, Tuckerberry Hill Blueberries offers a nutritious low-calorie snack, suitable for everyone. Having no entrance fee, this is a pick-your-own blueberry farm with a take home price of $16 a kilo. This year, Huckerberry Hill Blueberry had a new addition to their farm, a Blueberry Cafe serving Blueberry themed muffins, yoghurt ($2 a serving), ice-cream ($2 a serving), chutney ($5.50 a jar) etc.

Address: 35 Becks Rd, Drysdale Victoria.
Phone: 03 52513468
Open during Blueberry season: from Dec 26th, January (everyday 9-5pm), February (weekends only 9-5pm)

PYO Raspberries! Juicy, sweet and simply irresistable!
Summer is here! Although I despise the heat and the aussie flies very much, but there is also a lot of things to look forward to, from perfect sunny weather that's warm enough to hit the beaches, to fun-filled bbq parties in the sun. For me, I look forward to berry picking the most. After strawberries and cherry picking, this time we found a hidden gem. Raspberry picking!

At only $16 a kilogram, these beauties are definitely a thing to look forward to every year.

Durians - Queen Street, Singapore
I guess Singaporeans are just as crazy about durians as us Malaysians going by the number of durian stalls all around town. I saw this big crowd of people and was wondering what could be attracting their attention, so I made my way to the front and found that they were all actually crowding around to look at durians been opened by the stall owner. Every time a new one is opened and exposing the fleshy fruits, exclamations and good remarks will be heard from among some people in the crowd. It was quite difficult to resist so we bought a packet of
"King Sultan" for $12.00. The taste is very ordinary and I find it quite expensive for 7 seeds.

Hopefully, through this site, the lives of some animals can be spared. Always remember, animals have feelings too, they are our friends not our meal.
