Natural (PJ Uptown)
It has been awhile since I've patronized Natural, but it is good to say that the restaurant still serves good food, though the portion is a little small compared to other vege restaurants. Keep it up Natural!

Tofu drizzled with a generous amount of sweet tomato sauce
RM 10.00

Buttered Creamy Mushrooms
This dish is heavenly though a little bit sinful
but definitely worth that once in a while indulgence!
RM 10.00

Sambal Petai
I like my sambal petai with semi-dry belacan. This was a little wet, but nonetheless a good try by the chef.
RM 10.00

Nutritious Brown Rice :)

Long Hiatus - I was in China :)
Ah, after a long hiatus, I'm back from my trip to China. This time I visited Hangzhou, Shanghai, ShaoXing, HuangShan, NingBo and XiaMen. Finding vegetarian restaurants in China can be quite tricky as you would definitely need to do your homework before you land in China. However, as I was on a free and easy trip, I did not plan ahead as to where I was going to visit and what had I expected to see. Hoping to try my luck to get to some vegetarian friendly dishes at non-veg eateries was quite successful. My next few posts will be food from different restaurants in different cities as I toured along.

Edame - this is a very common dish and is delicious as well as nutritious
Stewed Baby Potatoes - this is another common dish as I noticed potatoes being cooked in many different ways
Celery fried with golden needles and tofu
Stewed Long Beans - I love this dish with the long beans being stewed until really soft and I always request that my dishes be prepared without salt, ajinomoto and very little oil
Bamboo shoots with snow vege

Villa Danieli - Sheraton KL
Further to my previous post, I had the opportunity to try the famous Villa Danieli at Sheraton KL but only to be disappointed as the pasta was far from the ones I had in Melbourne (especially the ones prepared by my Italian uncle, aunt and cousin!). The tomato sauce was nothing to be boasted about as it was pretty bland and there was nothing special about it. I prefer the pasta at "Delicious", which has more character than the ones at Villa Danieli. BUT!! If you are looking for a quiet place to dine with your other half, wanting to snuggle in a quiet corner with soothing live singing in the background, this is the place to go. Dimmed lighting, spacious interior and delicious tiramisu (though not alcoholic), your significant other half is sure to be spoilt that night!

Starters - salad. I love the combination of fruits and salad veg

Pasta #1

Pasta #2 - Penne with tomato sauce

Pasta #3 - spaghetti with mushrooms

Fruit platter. oh how much i miss the blackberries and raspberries in Melbourne!!!

- Jamie & Yvonne -
Two avid vegetarians are here to share some insights to the world of vegetarianism.
Hopefully, through this site, the lives of some animals can be spared. Always remember, animals have feelings too, they are our friends not our meal.
