Lui Cha is available on Fridays. Lui Cha is of Hakka origin. It is being served with 7 types of vegetables with a grounded tea. 'Lui' actually mean "to grind" in the Hakka dialect, so the correct translation of Lui Cha should be 'grounded tea' and not 'thunder tea' as translated by most people. There are two ways to serve Lui Cha. One is to have the grounded tea soup directly added to the rice and vegetables and the other way is to serve it separately. I prefer mine to be added to my rice with a lot of sesame seeds whereas my friend prefer hers to be served separately.

, This is more a dim sum restaurant and as my friend is not a vegetarian, I had enquired if they have anything for vegetarians. I was informed that they have a vegetarian fried rice and a vegetarian congee and for something light there is also 'chee cheong fun'. The chef is really generous with the mushrooms and mix vegetables and the portion is big that you really feel so full and satisfied.

This new management took over from the previous Tian Yian Vegetarian Restaurant which closed down a few months ago. Food is tasty and portion is generous. The chef came out to meet us and is genuinely sincere in finding out what is our response to his food. We told him that the 'Bitter gourd black bean sauce' is rather salty and he immediately informed that we can request for less salt and also less oil, if preferred.
Bitter gourd black bean sauce nice but a little too salty
Honey flavoured ribs nice! the honey sauce was thick enough and was not too sweet
Claypot fish with eggplant very nice! i would definitely order this again. this dish comes with a thick gravy which goes very well with the "fish" and eggplant.

Jui kueh is a Chinese dim sum made from rice flour. Taken together with a special sauce made from pickled radish makes it into a really simple but very tasty dish. It is very economical too. 4 pieces of the jui kueh costs SGD 1 only. Jui kueh can be found in most food courts in Singapore.
Revisited this restaurant and we still found it to be one of the best vegetarian food place in Singapore, though the mini-wok isn't really worth the price as it only had deep fried chicken sticks and no other veg or accompaniments. The ramen was really good and value for money. I believe that little or no MSG is used as we did not feel thirsty after our meal.
"Lou Chap" Ramen we strongly recommend this. a lot of ingredients and the soup is thick enough. p/s: the noodles are made fresh, right before your eyes!
Mini Wok (Chicken Sticks) not really worth the money - no veg / other accompaniments

We flew back with Firefly this time. It was quite a pleasant flight as the seats are in the 2-2 order. Although firefly uses propeller planes, we found the journey to be quite interesting as the plane flew at an altitude of 16000 feet rather than 30000 feet on regular airlines. Therefore, we had a bird's eye view throughout the entire journey of our flight. We even saw Genting Highlands in the far distance when approaching Kuala Lumpur from the window of our plane (we flew in the night). We were also being served a cup of juice and a muffin each. Note: muffin may contain eggs, so be sure to check with firefly if you do not consume eggs.
I must say, this restaurant boasts amazing food and inspiriting deco. I enjoyed the bento box very much. I was also kept entertained with the enlightening slogans and captions in their menu and also their walls. This is a must visit.
Alcohol-free malt "beer" - 8/10 Bento box - 'Fis' set - 9/10 - $8.90 very nice. Fish sticks were crunchy and yet not oily (though deep fried) rice was very nice, perfect sushi rice.Claypot rice - 8/10 the rice was cooked to perfection, with sufficient "burnt" riceDeliveg language. "Abalon", "C-food", "Chiken", "Fis", "Liv-r" "Great food. No Meat" is their slogan.

Calling all foodies! Takashimaya is offering a food fest, from today until this sunday (19th July). With a whole floor filled with unique stalls serving various local and international delicacies, this is certainly a must-visit.
Nestled in a very busy Petaling Jaya, is an indoor cafe that presents a rurla malaysia themed outer deco. This cafe serves vegetarian roti canai, roti tisu etc, along with other chinese vegetarian dishes.
Sichuan Noodles - 5/10 I was told that is was spicy, but the sauce turned out to be thick tomato sauce and perhaps a little chili sauce, for a pro-spicy person like me, I wouldn't try this again.
Fishhead Noodles - 7/10 Generous amount of ingredients. Could do with a thicker soup though.
Dumpling Soup - 5/10 - RM6 The dumplings were pretty dry and not really worth the money.
Blackbean Bitter Gourd Hor Fun - 8/10
Would definitely order this again as it's very tasty

Revisted Natural Healthy Food Vegetarian Restaurant. Enjoyed the Monkey Head Mushroom a lot. We found the Curry Mutton to be quite tasty when eaten together with a plate of warm brown rice. The mango chicken was a little soggy this time.
It is rather difficult to find good and tasty Vegetarian Malaysian Rojak and one day if you have a crave for it, visit Chikuyo Vegetarian in One Utama Shopping Centre as the rojak here is good and tasty and portion is generous and the price is reasonable. The bite in the Fish Tofu is quite special and the Creamy Frog Mushrooms is crispy, though it may be a little sinful as it's inevitably deep fried. I found my visits to be rather pleasant as I did not have to wait long for my food and the waiter was also very friendly. I would definitely visit this restaurant again =)

Met an Indian gentleman once during one of my dinner meals at a chapati stall and was informed that instead of having rice it is healthier to take 2 pieces of chapati for dinner and according to him his blood sugar, bp and cholesterol are all under control with this diet. So for a change, why not. Ingredients: 1 cup atta flour(wholemeal flour) 1/3 cup luke warm water A pinch of salt Method: 1. Add salt, water and flour into a mixing bowl 2. Knead for about 3 minutes to form into a firm but not a stiff dough. Cover with cling wrap and leave aside to proof for 1/2 hour 3. Divide dough into 4 round balls 4. Roll out each dough on a lightly floured board 5. Finally heat the rolled out dough in a non-stick pan for about 1 minute on one side, flip over and fry other side until it fluffs up 6. Serve with Dhal Tadka. This is an easy mix that can be bought from the stores
