Are you a couch potato that have already seen all of the programs on your current satellite TV and is tired of watching re-runs? Bid your boredom goodbye as a new pay TV is in town! HyppTV, powered by Malaysia's first high speed internet broadband, UniFi, will be providing you with extreme but affordable entertainment. How affordable? First of all, there won't be any monthly commitment and you will only have to pay for the programs that you want to watch! Also, I love it how I can get to watch US series 24 hours after they are released and whenever I want - now this is what I call technological advancement!
Nuffnang will be holding a HyppTV party for bloggers next Friday and after much consideration, I think I will choose to turn up as Elle. No, not ElleMacpherson, but Elle Woods from Legally Blonde. I know you're thinking, "Why Elle Woods??? Of all the heroic and cool movie characters that you can choose from, you chose a pinkaholic bimbo?" This is because, the normal me is the complete opposite. I don't really fancy the color pink, I don't spray perfume on my paper documents and I certainly won't turn up to a costume party wearing a playboy bunny costume (for those of you that might be thinking that I will be wearing that this Friday, you're WRONG! Ha Ha!). If you wanna see how a non-bimbotic and your typical-girl-next-door will look like dressing up as a bimbo, pray hard that Nuffnang will gimme the two invites to the party!
And why do I deserve to be at the party? After a hectic week at work, I need a chance to let my hair down, step into Elle Woods' pink heels and bimbo-party the night away!
Splendid Spread and Tempting Treats at Sushi Tei, Malaysia
There's something addictive about Japanese food that keeps me craving for more. I think it's the simplicity that makes Japanese food taste so good.
Veggie Tempura Bento Deep fried vegetable tempura served on a box of steaming hot Japanese rice. Make sure you as for some daikon (Japanese sushi) to be put in the soy sauce for dipping the tempura :) Kanpyo maki and Oshinko maki I love it how the sushi at sushi tei is made up of more filling than rice. Yum. Check out how much pickled gourd and picked daikon (white radish) were used in this dish!
Edamame I noticed that every "branch" had exactly two edamame attached to it. Is it really the case or is it a japanese tradition to serve only two edamame with each stick? haha
Tamago maki Egg filled sushi. :)
Kappa maki I believe this is rather unique as the chef added a generous amount of sesame to this dish. The fragrance of the sesame seeds was a perfect compliment to the crunchy cucumber which is refreshingly satisfying.
There are 3 sushi teis in town. 1) Tropicana City Mall (Petaling Jaya) 2) Pavilion Kuala Lumpur 3) The Gardens Mall, Mid-valley City
Hong Kong, one of the busiest cities in Asia, is a perfect vacation destination for a concrete-hugger like me. I love the wilderness, but at the end of the day, it's a concrete jungle that I would prefer to call home. For a city girl like me, it's perhaps I have never spent more than a week in a jungle, so being close to Mother Nature actually scares me. Whenever I go to a jungle back home in Malaysia, I cringe and greatly fear the mere existence of leeches and whatever creepy crawlies we have in the rain forest. Although we also have bigger threats in the concrete jungle, like pick-pockets, handbag snatchers, muggers, etc, I still love to wander in the mega-sized malls, and getting lost amidst the skyscrapers.
Another thing I love about big cities is, vegetarian restaurants are readily available at every nook and corner of the city!
Typical Chinese Dinner set :)
艇仔粥 Small Boat Porridge The name of this dish originated from a historical family that lived in boat village and made a living by selling porridge on their small boat. Peanuts! The must have accompaniment when it comes to porridge
Claypot Tofu, Mushrooms and Vegetables. Although this dish tasted a little bland, but it's a perfect dish to go with the porridge as it did not steal the porridge's limelight.
Comfortable setting and prompt service!
Roasted "Fish" This dish was perfect! As the sauce was just right and was not too sweet. The sauce did not overpower the "fish's" texture. The pinenuts added an extra flavour that amplified the fragrance of the sweet and sour sauce.
年年有余 This is a prosperous dish, where traditionally, it symbolizes continuous and plentiful harvest in all the years to come.
This fish was made of Yam and is deep fried to perfection and went really well with the sweet and sour sauce.

It is always a pleasure to be surprised on a flight with a great and flavorful vegetarian meal. Cathay never fails to please me as their meals are always healthy and delicious. Perhaps Airasia should consider healthier options as I remember their meals to be very oily and salty.
Vegetarian Lacto-Ovo Meal The asparagus was cooked to perfection and went really well with the "briyani" rice. I really think mushrooms are a must whenever asparagus is served (except for when stir-fried with belacan!)
Oriental Vegetarian I love the "black pepper chicken"! It was so flavorful that I practically licked the plate clean! The vegetables arrived crunchy and fresh. Two thumbs up!
The jelly was very yummy and was not too sweet. The fruits looked like they were cut minutes before they were served to me! Awesome meal.
Passed by this vegetarian eatery at Mongkok but did not get to try it as we were rushing to be somewhere. However, it looked packed and the pricing is quite reasonable for Hong Kong Standards. We tried the one relatively near to Citywalk and found their food to be very tasty. Watch out for the review of that branch soon!
A delicious oriental MAS meal to prep us for Kunming, China
We have been advised that March/April will be a good time to visit Shangrila, Kunming, China as the weather will be favourable and some wild flowers will be in bloom. We started our trip on 1st April and found that the weather in Shangrila was fine and with a few layers of warm winter clothings we felt really nice and comfortable. However, the sun is very strong already at this time of the year and to protect ourselves from the strong ultraviolet radiation, it is good to wear a sun hat that is large enough to keep off the sun rays from the face. On board the MAS flight we had selected the Asian and Oriental vegetarian option.
Wholesome and delicious salad with an acceptable variety of cut fruits Oriental menu - stewed bean curd sheets topped with shitake mushrooms to accompany a bowl of steaming hot Jasmine rice Asian menu - Yum, this is one of the best Asian vegetarian I've had on a flight as I particularly liked the variety of veggies that was used in this option. :)
Afternoon tea @ Alexis in Bangsar (Bangsar Village)
When it comes to cakes, Alexis would be one my favorite places for exquisite cakes. After a delicious meal at Delicious, we headed to Alexis for their signature cakes. We ordered 4 slices of cakes in total and also a pot of tea each. It was indeed a relaxing and fulfilling afternoon.
The wide selection of cakes available at Alexis!
Interior Deco :) Mayb it's good to have on at the main door of the house, where visitors can write down blessings for the inhabitants. :p
Cafe Latte - perfect combination with the cakes!
Cheesecake - look at the dense layer of cream cheese!!!!
Raspberry cheesecake I think i prefer the original cheesecake as the sweet raspberry jam stole some of the cream cheese's limelight. As you can see, I am a die hard pure cheesecake fan (with the exception for blueberry cheesecakes, I'm a sucker for anything that's got to do with blueberries)
Tiramisu. Oh this is pure bliss, though if given the choice I would prefer the alcoholic one (served in a cup) where it comes dripping with Tia Maria/Kahlua/whatever.
Chocolate - for the ultimate chocolate lovers Check out the thick chocolate sponge layer!

Hopefully, through this site, the lives of some animals can be spared. Always remember, animals have feelings too, they are our friends not our meal.
